RESEARCH & PROJECTS
During their lifetimes, Hans Arp and Sophie Taeuber-Arp were in close contact with many artists, poets, collectors, publishers, art dealers and curators. They were members of various artists’ groups, and their house in Clamart served as a meeting point and creative laboratory for fellow artists, poets and intellectuals. Additionally, they were active in creative ventures and exhibitions.
Although Hans Arp and Sophie Taeuber-Arp’s network was vast, their friends, colleagues and contemporaries knew the artists and their work on an individual basis.
The Foundation’s “Oral History” project therefore aims to capture and archive personal and historical accounts of the life and work of both artists. Interviews, which are recorded either in writing or digitally, will make these personal accounts more accessible to researchers and to the wider public.
Recent Interview Partner have been: Ernst Scheidegger, Eva-Maria Fruhtrunk and K.O. Götz.
